Founded in 1851, Champaign Bank delivers high quality Champaign Bank products and services through a network of banking centers throughout Central Ohio. But it is the Bank’s insistence on providing a distinctive customer experience that has guided its growth for more than 155 years. When Champaign Bank decided to expand its presence in Dublin, Ohio, the design team envisioned a setting that was high-touch, high-end, and high-tech.

Case Study
Design Challenge
In planning the 12,000 sq. ft. project, Champaign Bank had one primary goal: create an environment where the customer is central.

"We are a personal bank in every sense of the word,” explains Roger Felch, Vice President of Sales and Marketing. “We’ve been serving many of the same families and businesses for generations. So it was extremely important that our new space be bright and welcoming and show our customers that they are our most important priority."

Additionally, the bank had several workplace objectives. These included consolidating administrative functions for operational efficiency, facilitating teamwork and communication, maximizing its technology investment, ensuring future flexibility, and promoting employee satisfaction.

With the help of the architect Brian Sietz of Meacham & Apel Architects, Kimball Office, and Kimball Office dealer Salem Office Products, Champaign Bank achieved a facility that is as exceptional as its customer service.

The Kimball Office Solution
When customers walk into the new Dublin banking center, they immediately feel like they’re the center of everything – and they are. Glass walls and a unique, open design let customers see the whole bank working for them. The furniture also contributes to the feeling of care and connection.

Xsite workstations outfit offices throughout the two-story facility. The system’s 3-inch thick frame easily manages the bank’s data-and-voice technology. Footprint storage components, Skye ergonomic seating, and Bingo and Acapella guest chairs give the workspaces further appeal and functionality.

Sophisticated materials and finishes – including rich espressostained wood, gleaming platinum metallic accents, and deep gold and burnished orange upholsteries – were chosen for their warm, visual appeal. Consistent grain patterns and Kimball Office’s integrated design strategy made it easy for Champaign Bank to ensure a unified, engaging theme throughout the Dublin facility.

"Kimball Office and Salem Office Products were key partners in helping us achieve an end result that exceeded all of our expectations,” says Mr. Felch. “Our new space really is a place where customers love to bank and employees love to work."
