This course provides an in-depth look at the aesthetic and technical aspects of hardwood
veneers. From forest to fabrication, we'll discuss veneer characteristics and manufacturing
processes as they apply to contract furniture applications.
As a result of attending this 60 minute session, participants will be able to understand:
- Veneer characteristics
- Cutting options
- Matching techniques
- and the impact that these dynamics have on furniture and furniture design.
Intended audience:
The Wood Veneer Seminar is intended for all members of the design profession to build/reinforce
their understanding of veneer, veneer characteristics, processing and craftsmanship to
contract furniture applications.

veneers. From forest to fabrication, we'll discuss veneer characteristics and manufacturing
processes as they apply to contract furniture applications.
Veneer gives us the ability to have beautiful woods in our homes and offices at a more affordable
cost than solid wood. And modern veneering techniques mean that veneered woods are
more stable, more sustainable, and a better quality than solid pieces of wood.
